One of our favorite kids from Netflix’s hit supernatural show ‘Stranger Things’ landed a star role in the upcoming interpretation of Stephen King’s novel ‘IT’. He believes that Pennywise comes out on top as the scarier enemy when comparing him to the Demogorgon.
Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler in Stranger Things recently told Good Morning America that he believes the terrifying clown in IT (Pennywise) is scarier than the monster from The Other Side, the Demogorgon. Wolfhard will portray Richie Tozier in the upcoming movie, which hits cinemas in just a matter of days, on September 8th.
Speaking of his upcoming movie, specifically about Pennywise itself, he made a bold claim saying that he believes that IT is giving clowns a bad reputation at the moment and jokingly offered a formal apology to all professional clowns. Read what he said below:
“Our movie is kind of giving clowns a bad rep right now, I just want to give a formal apology to all clowns.”
He then went on to explain why Pennywise is scarier that the Stranger Things monster, giving a very good reason for his opinion. Read below:
“The Demogorgon you could kill, for real, but Pennywise can shapeshift into anything and is kind of immortal in a sense, I think that’s why he’s scarier because he’s more of a being.”
Don’t know the story?: When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, neighborhood kids band together to square off against Pennywise, an evil clown whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.
