David Hasselhoff recently excited fans in an interview where he confirmed that a reboot of the iconic 80’s series ‘Knight Rider’ is in the works.
The series ended on its season 4 finale ‘Voo Doo Knight’ in April 1986. Like other 1980’s show Twin Peaks it is looking to make a shock return, but talks are only in early stages.
The idea for a reboot came from Hasselhoff himself as well as ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 2’ director James Gunn. The two began talking after David worked in the fantasy sequel, and since then Gunn admitted he is a huge fan of Hasselhoff’s 80’s series and talks have now begun for a reboot.
Read what Hasselhoff told TMZ below:
“We’re talking about doing a full-blown TV series and we’re working on the rights right now.”
“It really came out of my relationship with James and the fact that he watched the show when he was eight years old, which is crazy.”
A reinvention of ‘Knight Rider’ was created in 2008 but Hoff has already said that the new one will be different. It will be made more modern.
