HBO And George RR Martin Confirm ‘Multiple’ Game Of Thrones Spin-Offs Will Happen

With the television giant ‘Game Of Thrones’ coming to a close, and it’s penultimate season airing summer this year, both HBO and writer George RR Martin have made a deal that will see the show made in to multiple spin-offs.

Though you shouldn’t expect the spin-offs to arrive anytime soon, with them set to appear after ‘Game Of Thrones’ has completely come to a finish, it’s definitely news that will keep fans that are hungry for more excited. HBO, the production company for GoT has confirmed that there is no deadline for a spin-off yet.

Creator of the ‘A Song Of Ice And Fire’ novels, in which the HBO show is based, writer George RR Martin will team up with Jane Goldman in writing and developing the new show(s). Jane Goldman is a British screenwriter known for: Kick Ass (2010), X-Men: First Class (2011), The Woman In Black (2012) as well as other movies.

“We’ll take as much or as little time as the writers need and, as with all our development, we will evaluate what we have when the scripts are in,”


There are many different story lines a spin-off could take us. Two of the more interesting ideas are: Robert’s Rebellion and ‘A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms’ (Also known as the Tales of Dunk and Egg).
