‘Bad Moms’ Gets Its Christmas Themed Sequel For A Late 2017 Release | What about ‘Bad Dads’?

STX Entertainment is set to release “A Bad Moms Christmas” as a highly anticipated sequel to its hit comedy “Bad Moms,”

Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are returning to direct from their own script with stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn reprising their chcharacters. The film will be produced by Suzanne Todd and executive produced by Bill Block; the duo produced “Bad Moms.”. This makes a relatively unchanged crew that produced the first movie. It’s still too early for news on new actors, but follow and we’ll keep you updated.

“This is a brand that has enormous goodwill all over the world, so expanding and extending the Bad Moms franchise in an authentic and irreverent way has been a priority for our team,” said STX Motion Group Chairman Adam Fogelson. “Mila, Kristen and Kathryn are excited to re-team, and we will move forward with ‘A Bad Moms Christmas’ on a similar time table and in much the same way in which we produced the original.”

With a November 3, 2017 release date we’ll have to wait until late next year to see the festive sequel though.

STX announced in October that  “Bad Dads” in the works as a spinoff from its “Bad Moms” comedy and would release the film on July 14, 2017. No castings have been announced yet. Would this work or should they stick to Bad Moms?
