‘Game Of Thrones’ dominating television, wins record-breaking amount of Emmy Awards

Since the medieval-fantasy show began in 2011, ‘Game Of Thrones’ has now been awarded a total of 38 awards, overtaking ‘Fraiser’ as the most decorated show on TV!

Fraiser had won 37 awards from 108 nominations prior to ‘Game Of Thrones’ overtaking it as the most decorated show on television with 38 awards from 106 nominations.

Sophie Turner, who portrays Sansa Stark in the drama said “I was actually speechless,” she said of the season seven script. “This season is unbelievable and I think fans are going to be really satisfied. It’s crazy.

Zai Bennet, a director for the show and part of the Sky Atlantic team simply described the show as ‘Insane”.

Season 6 of Game Of Thrones bought an  average audience of 5 Million people per episode, more viewers by some big TV dramas combined!

This year, the ‘Game Of Thrones’ cast and crew walked away with an incredible 12 awards including the well fought after ‘Outstanding Drama Series’!

Some time ago it was announced that the show will run for 8 seasons, with the show concluding in 2018.
